Introduction - What is Research Week?

Research Week is an initiative by ORIC that showcases our commitment to academic excellence and innovation. This initiative is a testament to the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman, Rector of Superior University, and is spearheaded by the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at Superior University. The primary essence of Research Week is summarized in two key pillars: "Celebrate and Communicate." This distinctive approach embodies the spirit of acknowledging and appreciating research and knowledge-production activities within the university and the broader academic and societal spheres. Research Week is our way of fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange. It's an invitation for everyone to participate in the celebration of discovery, learning, and the pursuit of excellence that defines Superior University.

Covering 15 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Superior University from Pakistan to be featured in best implementing SDGs in higher education

Superior University has secured a coveted spot among the top 25 Global Universities in the United Nations Academic Impact Report on the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) Best Practices. This remarkable achievement serves as a testament to our steadfast dedication to advancing sustainable development through education and innovation. As part of our ongoing efforts, our Research Week also encompasses a comprehensive exploration of 15 SDGs, highlighting our dedication to addressing the most pressing global challenges and fostering positive change on a global scale.

Research Week - 2023

In alignment with the overarching strategic objective of Fostering and Strengthening Industry-Academia Linkages, Superior University introduces "Research Week 2023" This year's research Week is designed to bridge the crucial gap between academia and industry, recognizing the indispensable relationship between these two domains. Research Week has been planned and it's bigger and more exciting than ever! Starting from the 21st to the 28th of October 2023. Superior University is proud to present a week-long activity dedicated to the fusion of knowledge, innovation, and collaboration.

 

This extended Research Week has a special focus on strengthening the connections between academia and industry. We are inviting a diverse array of external stakeholders. These include national and international academic and research institutions and research institutes, industry leaders, government departments, regulatory bodies, public sector entities, development partners, and international organizations. It's a gathering of minds, all united by a common goal, Industry-Academia Linkages.

Objectives of the Week

Objectives specific to the Research Week are the following:

1 - To foster closer ties between academia and industry to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation

2 - To recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of faculty and researchers within the university, emphasizing the importance of research and innovation.

3 - To showcase Superior University's commitment to academic excellence and innovation by highlighting research and knowledge production activities.

4 - To encourage innovative thinking and the development of sustainable solutions that address pressing societal and industrial challenges.

5 - To facilitate the communication of research findings and knowledge outputs to a wider audience, including academia, industry, and society.
